In search of colorful things

First blog post on a new site.
I’m really looking forward to October. The image above was taken last year. There’s something magical about stepping into a pumpkin field in autumn. The air is crisp, the colors are rich, and the light has that golden softness unique to this time of year. As a photographer, it’s a season that practically begs to be captured.
Pumpkin fields offer endless compositions: the bold orange of pumpkins against the fading greens of vines, the contrast of bright skies with earthy textures, and the chance to play with leading lines as rows of pumpkins guide the eye across the frame. Whether you’re working with a DSLR or simply your phone, the setting encourages creativity.
Beyond the photographs themselves, there’s joy in the experience—wandering between the rows, crouching low for a ground-level perspective, or catching candid moments of friends and family choosing their pumpkins. It’s a reminder that photography isn’t only about images; it’s about slowing down and savoring a season that always seems to pass too quickly.
A pumpkin field is more than a backdrop—it’s a celebration of autumn itself, waiting to be captured one frame at a time.
