photography, mulimedia, qtvr, web development, and that sort of thing.
Thanks for visiting. I'm a photographer, teacher and web developer in Toronto, Canada. This site contains a few portfolio projects and some bio info. I've worked primarily in corporate communications, with a few editorial assignments here and there. I have a modest exhibition history and some of those portfolios are shown here. I'm also involved in two development projects overseas and there's some information about those projects here as well.
Feel free to contact me about anything you see on this site, or about current affairs in general.
Hope you enjoy your stay.
news, & whatever
updated August 22, 2010

Welcome,
Thought I'd post this image from a recent assignment - this was the view of the recent Metric concert that happened August 4th in fron of Union Station. I was up on the roof of the Royal York Hotel getting shots of the entire scene. First death-defying shot I've done in some time. I returned the next week to complete a panorama of the Royal York roof for torontoist. Here's the link to the panorama.
For some time I've been posting news & events here. As an experiment I've set up a blog where I can quickly post images and whatever thoughts and announcements I feel worthy of posting. I can do this directly from a smart phone, which for me has a very high novelty factor. The trick is creating posts that are worth someone's time to look at. Here's the link:

My work with NCDF and FogQuest continues. NCDF is collaborating with Engineers Without Borders and the Engineering for Developing Countries department at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Their newsletter is available here.
FogQuest has a full roster of projects in operation and in development. I'm still working on a new collector with FOST (Foundation for Sustainable Development) in Nepal. I'm hoping to have an operational prototype later this year. I'm scheduled to visit Nepal in October of this year and I'll be posting progress reports on the blog space.
My best wishes for an enjoyable and relaxing summer.
Thanks for visiting!

panoramaist
I've teamed up with the folks at torontoist to produce a regular full screen panorama feature called panoramaist. A complete directory of the torontoist features can be found here.
This link will take you to a new site containing the latest QTVR experiments.
